Junior Hockey Junkies is comprised of six junior hockey diehards that have come together to promote the Canadian Hockey League.
The Junkies are all Calgary Hitmen season ticket holders who bleed Hitmen colors and support their team throught the ups & downs. The
Junkies coordinate Calgary Hitmen fan bus trips, shinny hockey games, annual JHJ Lost Ball Open golf tournament & an annual trip to the
CHL’s Mastercard Memorial Cup. The Junkies have made the Memorial Cup an annual event since 1999, when they travelled to Ottawa to
cheer on the Calgary Hitmen. During their travels the Junkies have made some great friends across the CHL, who to this day still take the
time to talk to one another whenever they cross paths at the vaious rinks.
Junkie Facts:
- Six Individuals, who go by the names like Slash, Stick-em, Santa, Timmy, Ronnie & Cousin Darrell own & operate JHJ.
- The Junkies don’t sell memberships, they coordinate events that are intended to get the fans together to cheer on their
favourite teams. - The Junkies are all local Calgarians who are avid supporters of the Calgary Hitmen.
- The Junkies coordinate Regular Season as well as Play-off bus trips throughout the hockey season.
- The Junkies trip to Shawinigan, Quebec for the 2012 Mastercard Memorial Cup will mark their 14th straight apperance
at the CHL’s top event.
